A Multi-Port Optical Microfiber Coil Resonator

Abstract

We model and experimentally investigate four-port resonators fabricated by coiling microfiber couplers around a rod. The beating between coupler supermodes enhances the resonance extinction ratio, and the transmission is strongly dependent on the coupler geometry.
