Plasmonic gratings for enhanced light-trapping in thin-film organic solar cells

Abstract

We discuss optimized silver gratings to enhance light-trapping in organic solar cells. The enhancement is attributed to the generation of surface-plasmon polaritons and localized surface-plasmon resonances, and to their optimized coupling over broad wavelength ranges.
