Non-Contact Human Cardiac Activity Monitoring Using a High Sensitivity Pulsed Laser Vibrometer

Abstract

We demonstrate the use of a high sensitivity pulsed laser vibrometer to determine remotely the detailed, time-phased mechanical workings of various parts of the human heart. Results reported are validated by electrocardiography and accelerometer readings.
