Ce3+,Sm3+:YAG Double clad Crystal Fiber Broadband Light Source

Abstract

Nine millwatts of broadband emission were generated from a Ce,Sm:YAG double-clad crystal fiber. This direct diode-laser pumped visible light had a 3-dB bandwidth of 100 nm and an optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 2.4%.
