Abstract

We present a bandwidth scalable optical transmitter for creating high bandwidth optical signals using parallel low speed electronics. Proof-of-concept 20 GHz spectral width, 100 ns, 10 Gb/s DPSK and 20 Gb/s QPSK waveforms are generated.
