UV light generation induced by microwave microplasma in hollow-core optical waveguides

Abstract

We experimentally observed for the first time the built up of a microwave microplasma in gas-filled hollow-core waveguides with internal diameter down to 65µm. Ultraviolet wavelengths have been generated and guided directly inside the hollow-core.
