Broadband Wavelength Conversion of Incoherent Light in Silicon Nanowaveguides

Abstract

We demonstrate broadband wavelength conversion of an incoherent light source via four-wave mixing in a silicon rib nanowaveguide. We observe a conversion efficiency of −24 dB over the entire wavelength range of the incoherent source.
