Microwave generation with low residual phase noise from a femtosecond fiber laser with an intracavity EOM

Abstract

A femtosecond fiber laser with an intracavity electro-optic modulator is phase-locked to a high-finesse cavity through two cw transfer lasers. The residual phase noise at the 300 MHz harmonic is −126 dBc/Hz at 1 Hz.
