Diamond Phononic Crystal Spin-Mechanical Resonators with Spectrally-Stable Nitrogen Vacancy Centers

Abstract

We report the design and fabrication of GHz diamond spin-mechanical resonators embedded in a two-dimensional phononic crystal lattice. Spectrally-stable nitrogen vacancy centers are observed after a soft-etching surface treatment.
