Single Nitrogen Vacancy Color Centers Generated by Femtosecond Laser Illumination on Diamond

Abstract

By focusing high-power femtosecond laser on diamond surface coated with a layer of nano-silicon powder, single nitrogen vacancy centers could be fabricated efficiently around the illuminated craters even without annealing.
