Abstract

We report on the frequency transfer from an ultrastable laser at 1542 nm to a clock laser at 935 nm used for interrogation of the octupole transition in an Yb+ optical clock using a single-branch commercial Er:fiber optical frequency comb and a novel setup for suppression of differential path length fluctuations. The stability transfer is characterized by means of simultaneous frequency ratio measurements using a second frequency comb.
