Voltage controlled fine-structure splitting of single photon emitters in a two-dimensional semiconductor

Abstract

We report on the modulation of the fine-structure splitting (FSS) of quantum dot-like emitters in a two-dimensional semiconductor. Voltage-controlled suppression of the electron-hole exchange interaction features a 40% increase in circular polarization with decreasing FSS.
