Demonstration of On-Chip Thermocouple Photodetector in Infrared Regime through Field Enhancement by Plasmonic Nano Focusing

Abstract

On-chip thermocouple photodetector is realized for near infrared regime. Conversion of electromagnetic field to heat was performed through plasmonic mode which leads to joule heating at the metal. The responsivity of the device is 32±1mV/W.
