Generation of NIR correlated photon pairs in optical nanofibers

Abstract

We report the generation of near-IR (NIR) nondegenerate correlated photon pairs in an 13-cm-long optical nano-fiber (ONF). The coincidence-to-accidental ratio (CAR), 400 has been achieved at a very low average pump power of 70 µW.
