Approaching the Attosecond keV X-ray Frontier

Abstract

We demonstrate the generation of isolated 53-as soft X-ray pulses reaching the water window. Mid-infrared lasers centered at 2.5 to 8 µm are being developed to extend the attosecond X-rays to the keV range.
