Microscopic Theory for Spatially Local Excitations in Semiconductor Nanostructures

Abstract

We develop a cluster-expansion approach further to include spatially local excitations up to two-particle correlations. Our results show that this level is needed to explain the decreasing excitation-spot size measured in resonantly excited quantum wells.
