Probing Charge Density Wave Dynamics in Superconducting YBCO via Ultrafast X-Ray Scattering

Abstract

We report optical pump–soft X-ray scattering probe studies of YBCO single crystals. The experiments reveal a picosecond relaxation dynamics of charge density waves, which is in turn strongly modified by the onset of superconductivity.
