Light-induced transient state in the Weyl semimetal TaAs revealed by time-resolved second harmonic generation

Abstract

We performed time-resolved second harmonic generation (SHG) spectroscopy on the Weyl semimetal TaAs. These measurements reveal a potential transient photoinduced state as well as an ultrafast dependence of the SHG signal on pump polarization.
