Broadband enhancement of thermal emission

Abstract

We present wide-band enhancement of thermal emission from a semitransparent weak thermal emitter optically coupled to an external cavity. We demonstrate ~2.7x enhancement of far-field total thermal emission from a suspended silicon carbide membrane.
