Enabling Strong Coupling in Nanoscale Silicon Optomechanical Waveguides

Abstract

We simulate giant sideband-resolved interaction between tele-com photons and megahertz phonons traveling along a silicon double-slot waveguide. The calculations predict a Rabi flop length below 100µm and a Brillouin gain coefficient above 109 W1m1.
