Light Sheet Illumination With an Integrated Photonic Probe

Abstract

We have designed an implantable integrated photonic probe that produces a plane of illumination. The planar illumination pattern is produced using aluminum nitride waveguide gratings and microlenses compatible with light sheet microscopy within scattering tissue.
