Optical Stark effect in CdSe colloidal nanocrystals

Abstract

The optical Stark effect allows ultrafast, non-dissipative manipulation of electronic states. We demonstrate optical Stark shifts > 10 meV and effective magnetic fields > 100 T in CdSe nanocrystals under off-resonant circularly polarized pumping.
