Magnetization dynamics in cobalt thin films probed with femtosecond high harmonics pulses

Abstract

We report on the ultrafast re-magnetization and precession dynamics, probed resonantly at the M-edge (56.7 eV) of 20 nm thick cobalt films, pumped by near IR pulses. The complementarity of the results, obtained in this T-MOKE HHG configuration, with visible NIR studies is discussed.
