Demonstration of Frequency Conversion at an Optical Event Horizon with Cross Polarized Waves in Birefringent Nanophotonic Waveguides

Abstract

The frequency conversion of a probe beam by reflection on a soliton propagating in a birefringent nanophotonic waveguide is experimentally and numerically demonstrated using cross-polarized waves. A frequency conversion almost pump wavelength independent is demonstrated.
