Abstract

Subwavelength cavities are implemented by replacing conventional mirrors with reflecting metasurfaces that introduce arbitrary phase-shifts compensating for the reduced accumulated phase through the cavity. 140-nm cavities showed resonance at wavelengths from 600 to 900 nm.
