Highly efficient SHG in NLO polymer-coated Au nanoparticles by doubly resonant excitations

Abstract

We present localized SP-assisted SHG in NLO polymer-coated Au nanoparticles. More than threefold enhancement in the SHG conversion efficiencies was recorded by tuning the transition frequency of the NLO polymers to the excitation light frequency.
