Cavity Optomechanics with Suspended Carbon Nanotubes

Abstract

We demonstrate large optomechanical coupling between a carbon nanotube and an optical microresonator. We measured a dominantly dissipative optomechanical coupling coefficient of gκ = 1 MHz/nm.
