Generation of a Train of Ultrashort Pulses by Simply Inserting Transparent Plates on the Optical Path

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate generation of a train of ultrashort pulses with a nearly TL pulse duration of 1.78 fs by simply inserting transparent plates on the optical axis and adjusting their thicknesses precisely.
