Quantum Effects in Four-Wave Mixing: Collapse and Revival of Bi-Photon Interference

Abstract

We explore the classical-to-quantum transition with light produced by broadband spontaneous FWM in fibers. Observing bi-photon quantum interference and its dependence on internal loss, we demonstrate quantum collapse and revival of the interference contrast.
