Non-Instantaneous Optical Nonlinearities in a-Si:H Nanowire Waveguides

Abstract

We report measurements of the non-instantaneous nonlinear response of hydrogenated amorphous silicon nanowire waveguides at telecommunications wavelengths. We compare the results to those obtained with similar crystalline silicon nanowires.
