Spatio-Temporal Phase-Contrast Imaging of Tenuous Laser Plasma Structures

Abstract

We demonstrate a pump-probe phase-contrast method that reconstructs the spatio-temporal profile of plasma structures at density as low as 1016 cm3. The method is compatible with very thin, very long, even turbulent media.
