Abstract

In this paper we present our work towards an “Invisible Rangefinder”. Conventional rangefinders use bright modulated laser light directed at an object (or “target”) [1]. A simple time of flight measurement then yields the distance to this target. However, the unique spectral and temporal signature of laser light makes this method of rangefinding easy to detect from the targets position.
