Abstract

Cancer being a major health concern, achieving early diagnosis and hence trace molecules’ detection is an important issue. Two biophotonics techniques currently lead the field of label-free molecular interaction analysis, namely Surface Plasmon Resonance Imaging (SPRI) [1] and Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) [2]. We propose to couple in a unique instrument SPRI and SERS, accordingly performing both high throughput detection and accurate identification of targeted molecules, thus overcoming the issue of non-specificity in SPR measurements.
