Fluorescence lifetime imaging of cellular-level metabolic heterogeneity in cancer

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Cancer is a heterogeneous disease, and sub-populations of cells can drive drug resistance. Fluorescence lifetime imaging of metabolic co-factors is used to monitor drug response on a cellular level, to optimize clinical treatment decisions.
