Abstract

In recent years, photonic crystals (PhC) became widely employed as a platform for optomechanics [1]. Many of such systems use tapered fiber approach for achieving optical coupling with the resonator allowing for addressing only one cavity at a time. Here we report on a new optomechanical platform which couples III-V semiconductor PhC suspended layer and silicon-on-insulator (SOI) waveguide. One of its key advantages is the possibility to address multiple optical cavities inside one or multiple mechanical resonators, thus being compatible with optome-chanical arrays experiments [1].
