Abstract
Hollow core anti-resonant fibers (HC-ARFs) have been proposed and developed as an alternative optical transmission medium in the mid-IR regime [1–4]. All of the proposed designs used negative curvature core boundary as these fibers offer low losses, wide transmission spectra, and low power overlap with the silica part of the fiber structure [1–4]. The aim of this work is to further investigate HC-ARFs with double-clad circular anti-resonant tubes in order to evaluate its benefits in terms of loss reduction.
