Abstract

We recently proposed quantum dot (QD) based photoconductive antennae (PCA) as perspective compact efficient room temperature CW [1] and pulsed [2] terahertz (THz) transmitters. In further research, we showed that the emitted spectra by such antennae becomes broader for increasing pump power [3]. This effect can originate due to various reasons, one of the most straightforward being the shortening in the photocarriers lifetime, as it was shown for similar QD structures [4].
