High-power femtosecond thin-disk oscillators

Abstract

Femtosecond oscillators are indispensable tools in many fields of physics, biology and chemistry. For many of those applications complex laser systems and enhancement cavities are required. They rely on low power oscillators as a front-end. Our research topic is focused on the development of oscillators that are capable of improving or substituting more complex laser amplifiers and enhancement cavities for many applications by leveraging the favourable simplicity and stability of an oscillator and at the same time providing the necessary high peak and average powers.
