Abstract

Glasses containing metallic nanoparticles are of particular interest in the field of optoelectronics due to their robust nature and the unique linear and non-linear optical properties [1]. These properties are dominated by the Surface Plasmon Resonances (SPRs) of the metal inclusions and by manipulation of the characteristics of the metal the SPRs can be designed within a wide spectral range [2].
