Abstract
Ytterbium doped materials belong to perspective solid-state laser media offering high power output with reduced thermal problems, broad tunability, and short pulse generation. To promising material belongs the Yb3+-doped LuAG (Lu3Al5O12).[1, 2, 3] Thanks to similar weight and size of doping Yb3+ ions and substituted Lu3+ ions, the dopant concentration has a low influence on thermal crystal conductivity.[4] The aim of presented study was the investigation of tunability of highly Yb3+-doped LuAG crystals.
