Abstract

Recently, femtosecond lasers have been used for direct writing of computer-generated holograms (CGHs), e.g. by evaporation of metal films on glass substrates [1] and inside glasses [2-4]. This provides a quick way to make “one of a kind” holograms, which opens up for new applications, such as anticounterfeiting, beam shaping [2,3], and optical keys [5].
