Abstract
Direct space-to-time pulse shaping (DST-PS) and Fourier transform pulse shaping (FT-PS) techniques, initially proposed for picosecond pulse shaping [1], were successfully adopted and applied for femtosecond time domain [2]. DST-PS [3], which is not as well studied as FT-PS, has several advantages [2]. With DST-PS there are no unwanted time replicas (neither from the input nor the output signal). There are no time-space couplings.
