Abstract

Display and solid state lighting applications based on organic light emitting devices (OLED’s) is an emerging technology [1]. Presently, most of the high performance red OLEDs are made by doping a red dye into a suitable host [2]. In this article fabrication of OLED from synthesized meso-tetrakis(3, 4 dimethoxyphenyl) porphyrin fig1(b), doped in Alq3 at different concentrations with new method and its electrical characteristics and electroluminescence spectra is reported.
