Abstract

Narrow linewidth high power lasers find application in fields like coherent optical communication, spectroscopy, or laser cooling. Semiconductor lasers emitting near 1064 nm are in particular interesting as replacements for optically pumped solid state lasers used for coherent optical communication in space.
