Abstract

QPM-Zn:LN ridge waveguides are attractive devices because of their high conversion efficiency and strong resistance to photorefractive damage[1,2]. Using such waveguide wavelength converters will reduce the lack of size and cost of laser systems. We are developing laser systems that can generate over 1-W visible light using waveguide wavelength converter for photocoagulation. In this paper, we report on over 1-W 580 nm light generation with QPM-Zn:LN ridge waveguide and its long-term output power stability.
