Abstract

Photonic crystal fibre (PCF) [1], where the mode fields can be tightly confined in an extremely small core, can be used to tailor the nonlinear coefficient and the dispersion over a very broad range. As a result, it has been used in many nonlinear applications, e.g., supercontinuum generation and frequency conversion to the UV [2,3].
