Abstract

The market for digital projectors has the potential of high quantities for the entertainment electronics. A system based on a RGB laser module would be a very compact solution with a higher brightness and efficiency compared to the current discharge lamps. That would lead to a whole new field of applications for mobile projection. Laser diodes of necessary power and lifetime are available for the blue and the red wavelengthes what leaves the efficient, compact, green laser source to be developed.
