Interaction between nanoparticles and metallic substrates: enhanced scattering detection and accurate vertical positioning

Abstract

Metallic Nanoparticles have large scattering cross sections induced by the plasmon resonance, offering an alternative to fluorescence labelling. We will show how metallic substrates influences their resonance wavelength and scattering efficiency. Biosensing applications will be presented.
