Intracavity adaptive optics optimization of an end-pumped Nd:YVO4 laser

Abstract

Thermally induced optical distortions in the gain medium are one of the main issues that have to be overcome when realizing lasers with high brightness. One way to deal with these distortions is the use of an intracavity adaptive mirror for compensation.
