Abstract

A pico-second master-oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) utilizing a photorefractive phase-conjugate mirror (PCM) based on a rhodium-doped barium titanate (Rh:BaTiO3) has been an intense subject because it is capable of producing high power and high beam-quality output. The system is promising for applications in nonlinear optics, spectroscopy, laser machining, and laser display. In this paper, we present power scalability of the system based on a diode-pumped Nd:YVO4 bounce amplifier with a Rh:BaTiO3 phase conjugate mirror. We also report design issues of an efficient phase conjugate mirror in an ultra-fast regime.
